“Don’t Look Up”— 1 Minute Review

Don’t read this if finding out you are an idiot might bother you

“Don’t Look Up” is basically a one-joke movie, but it’s not only a funny joke that held my interest all the way through the closing credits, it’s also a very relevant, painfully honest, and probably kind of important comment on America in 2022.

That comment? You are a fucking idiot and you are ruining a good thing.

And unfortunately, it’s true. You really are stupid. To be fair (and the movie is quite fair, I think), I am an idiot, too. As are the filmmakers themselves. “Don’t Look Up” is equal opportunity in the way it systematically identifies the endemic idiocy of our culture and most of the various sub-groups which make it up.

Cultural elites? Idiots.

Scientists? Idiots.

Media Personalities (mainstream, social, or you name it)? Idiots.

Tech Billionaires? Idiots.

Trump people? Idiots.

We’re all in it. We all have a starring role.
