"I read well over 100 audience reviews while writing this post..."

I don't think that those reviews are necessarily what the cast is complaining about. I actively try to avoid anything I see complaining about "woke-ness" because it is invariably inane, but there is TONS of it. I see Youtubers with 100k views on their outraged commentary about "woke Hollywood." Much of it regarding this show in particularly. I stupidly clicked on one to see what they were so upset about. (whohc may be why I still see it in my feed all the time). I suspect that they are just faking outrage for the clicks, but nevertheless... There are lots of people trying to make a living complaining that black actors playing Elves is a "woke abomination" (because, who knows/cares?) and that Galadriel is a woke female hero supplanting the males. It's absurd for the reasons Teed Rockwell just gave above, but if you are still looking for evidence of silly racist, sexist nonsense about this show or female superheroes, etc... try youtube or tiktok. It's there. And it's really stupid. Hopefully it's just a phase.
