Loki — One Minute Review
Should you…? Yes. Here’s why in one minute

I want the MCU to continue to be awesome, and have been starting to worry that maybe that ship has sailed. “Loki” gives me a lot of hope. After those first two Disney+ shows (I thought WandaVision was interesting but not MCU-level-awesome and Falcon/Winter Soldier was just okay but leaning toward kinda dull), I was expecting “Loki” to be better. But honestly, “Loki” is waaay better. It feels like it belongs in the MCU.
Right away in Episode 1, we get one thing that has been missing from the early Disney+ shows. Starpower. “Loki” just feels like a bigger deal. Tom Hiddleston is a legit movie star and Loki is an all-time great character. He’s in this show. Owen Wilson, also a legit movie star, also in this show. And their scenes together are both awesome and make up most of the show. So win, win all around.
Story and voice: There is a heady intelligence mixed with high-end “camp” that might remind you of Dr. Who with a bigger budget. If you are a fan of the wildly creative and provocative “Rick and Morty,” then you’ll recognize Michael Waldron’s writing. What a perfect, Marvel Studios-like choice to create this show which encourages him to pummel us with cool-concept-after-cool-concept.
