Yes, those are great tips. It’s odd how emotion fits into the picture, too. Writers are notoriously moody in that way. Periods of creativity punctuated by clouds. A schedule with clear short term goals like you mention is a great tool to power through those periods.

I’ve done it before, but I struggle with making the schedule last. Maybe I just need to focus on it more and not take productivity for granted. There is a muscle memory involved. And binging on sit-ups only makes your abs hurt and makes you not want to do more sit-ups tomorrow.
